Youth Citizenship in Divided Societies

Story Maps

In order to understand how young people experience citizenship in their daily lives, YouCitizen researchers have worked directly with young people from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lebanon, and South Africa to map the everyday spaces of belonging and citizenship. Using stories, interviews, photos, archival images, and sound taken from the urban environment, these youth researchers have produced digital stories embedded into online digital maps to highlight the connections between place, belonging, and citizenship.
